One of the several caves that cannot be missed if you follow the road that goes through the island. Complex is rather short but breathes with history. You also get brief history explanation why it came to be. Definitely worth a visit if you spend at least 2 days in Cat Ba island.

A cave transformed into a bunker to serve as a hospital and a safe haven for leaders of Viet Cong. Coincidentally they were changing the electric lines in the street so there was no light inside and we explore it with a torch. It was really fun! I think it is a fascinating place specially if you are into history.

Great history landmark but there is little information. Although there are a few exhibits it is very basic. You need no more than 20 minutes here. It's interesting but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

Very cool experience. A partially man made cave left over from the Vietnam war. It was used by Northern Vietnamese as a hospital. Our guide told us that the island the cave is one was known as a ladies island because all the men were away fighting. The complex inside is so much bigger than I expected going in. History behind it is fascinating.

Nice place to see on the way. Impressive cave, which was used as a hospital. There are some figures to illustrate. But not informative enough.
