I went here because I’m a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain, don’t get me wrong I’m a huge Obama fan too but I was disappointed that I didn’t see Anthony represented in the restaurant. With all due respect, his show is the entire reason Obama ended up eating here. Even if this particular spot was chosen with security in mind, the world saw it because of Anthony. Either way, the portion didn’t reflect the price, I was told they had no vegetarian spring rolls even though they were on the menu and the crab spring roll I ordered instead looked more like half a spring roll and were cold and chewy (not crispy or fresh). I’ve also never seen such a small spring roll anywhere I’ve traveled honestly. The meat, however was delicious as well as the sauce. Yes, I’ve had better bun cha in Vietnam, but this was still one of the better ones. The meat made it for me.

Staff not able to communicate in English. Luckily there is a tour guide help us translate. We manage to ask Vegan food. They charge 5 vegan spring roll if you say meatless. The BBQ pork is nice. But the fried spring roll so so only.

Service was not great. We stood there waiting to be seated for at least 15 minutes and no staff thought to tell us we can just take a seat. Take the time to figure out how to assemble and consume the food you’re buying because the staff won’t bother with doing that either. Food was good enough. I particularly enjoyed the crab spring roll (doubled down on that).

Grilled pork bun Cha and the soup so nice! Should try this. But the fried seafood roll and fried crab roll taste are normal. Others shop have better choices.

Nice & tasty broth. The grilled pork is good. Usually packed with people. So there be early to get a seat.
