Image - St. Mark's Square
St. Mark's Square
Luca:'Piazza San Marco' is the heart of Venice. From here you can easily visit most of the other main sites. The best things to do here? Take a 360° panorama photo, feed (or run through) the pigeons and relax in one of the numerous cafès
Image - St Mark's Campanile
St Mark's Campanile
Luca:The Campanile is the bell tower that dominates the skyline of Venice. The only way to the top is by elevator. From the top, your reward is one of the best views of the city.
Image - Rialto Bridge
Rialto Bridge
Luca:Spanning the Grand Canal, the Ponte di Rialto is Venice’s most popular bridge. From the top of the bridge, enjoy another fantastic, iconic view of this city. Watching the gondolas, vaporettos, and ferries travel up and down the Grand Canal from this spot is mesmerizing.
Image - Gondola Rides
Gondola Rides
Luca:Yes, it may be cliché and super-touristy, but in our opinion, a visit to Venice would not be complete without a gondola ride through the canals. (Warning: Rides are often very expensive)
Image - Bridge of Sighs
Bridge of Sighs
Luca:Stand facing the Doges’ Palace with the Grand Canal behind you. There is a small bridge that spans the canal along the eastern border of the Doges’ Palace. From this bridge you can have this iconic view.
Image - Saint Mark's Basilica
Saint Mark's Basilica
Luca:Nicknamed the "Church of Gold" because of its opulence, it has been the seat of the Patriarch of Venice, archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice, since 1807.
Image - Grand Canal
Grand Canal
Luca:The Venice Grand Canal is the most important 'street' of Venice both for its function and its social importance. Venetians cross and cruise the Canal Grande regularly either on public transportation boats or on their work or private boats.
Image - Burano
Luca:Burano isn’t actually in Venice – it’s 40 minutes away by boat. Burano Island is an old fishermen’s village that’s home to a vibrant lace-making industry. But from a photographer’s perspective the biggest draw is the fact that it’s basically a giant rainbow come to life!

Image - Alle Corone
Alle Corone
Luca:A smart fine dining experience. The food is excellent, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is relaxed with windows overlooking the canal. Gondolas gliding literally past the window all evening - very 'Venice'
Image - Ai Mercanti
Ai Mercanti
Luca:Ristorante Ai Mercanti in the heart of Venice between the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco is an upmarket, romantic restaurant in very cool style that enjoys a high-flying gastronomic reputation.
Image - Local
Luca:Inspired by seasonality, Local is a creative and natural take on the Venetian traditional cuisine. The finest organic ingredients, sourced from small local producers are combined with simplicity, to enhance flavours and characteristics
Image - Osteria All'alba winebar and cocktails
Osteria All'alba winebar and cocktails
Luca:Nice Bar with a good choice of beers and just around the corner from Rialto Bridge. Not much seating so not a place to stay for the night but super great for a drink with a good selection of nibbles.
