Beautiful place, awesome for family picnic or even a banned concert. It's wheelchair accessible and suitable for relaxation and also has a separate play ground for the kids. I really like this place with the Exception that I haven't noticed any security guard or law enforcement monitoring it . It's an open park so crackheads do hang out there at times .
Washington Square Park is one of the famous parks in Manhattan. If you hang out in Greenwich Village, chances are you will spend some time there, on a Sunday afternoon or in the middle of the night on a Friday night. There is always some action in there and the locals love it. With its magnificent iconic arch, beautiful fountain and plenty of trees, it is always a pleasure to stroll.
The Washington Park is small, beautiful, very cultural and in the heart of Greenwich village. The proximity to NYU main campus makes it a student social ground but also a great many talented singers or musicians perform there for anyone who enjoys a listen. It's many trees and beautiful fountain offer a perfect shelter on a hot day.
You can see performers playing not only amazing music, but also dancing and painting. The environment is perfect to do a picnic with your loved ones. Sitting in front of the fountain to rest after a long day feels awesome.
A busy park with plenty of stone and wood benches to sit on. There is a wonderful playground for children to venture into. Additionally, there was a pianist playing on the Sunday afternoon that we were there. There are also local artists that put their work out for purchase. While this area is a landmark for tourists to see, it was clear that a huge population of people there were locals sitting in the park on a gorgeous afternoon.
