The art community in Luray is fantastic! The Warehouse features work by various local artists in a wide variety of mediums. During the weekend there is usually live music and an amazing free art class on Saturday afternoons at 1p. The class is child friendly, if you attend the class and enjoy it look for the donation bucket and help keep this awesome program going! Photo is a project from one of the classes, a ceramic cat.
Very welcoming! Loved all the art work. All the art work are very unique and creative too! It's worth to visit the Art Gallery if you are visiting in town.
This is the most awesome gallery. If you are looking for a museum this isn't it but much of the art will certainly be in a museum one day. The only negative is the heat so be prepared on a summer day BUT don't let it deter you from a visit. This place is a treasure in Luray, VA truly a must see.
We attended a summer solstice drum circle last night here. People were awesome. I did look around the warehouse, they have beautiful and unique be items!
So glad we stopped by this free museum in Luray. Plenty of free parking. Nice gift shop in the front and multiple rooms of art by area artists. A big shout out to Miss Cathy, who took time to make clay monsters with our 7 year olds. She was cleaning up after an adult class and was kind enough to spend a few minutes working with the twins. What a treat that was for our little artist! She packed up the projects for us to take home. Only reason not to give 5 stars is because of the heat in the building. But then, there is delicious ice cream nearby!
