Still an oldie but goodlie landmark!
We only stayed one night but have already booked to go back again for longer. This was a real step back on time so remember this if you’re expecting all mod cons. The staff were extremely helpful and service was great. Parking was no problem but a little pricey. Rooms were comfy but I expect they’d be really hot in the summer as the air con isn’t great.
I love The Queen Mary, being on this boat is one of my earliest and fondest memories. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is great. There is lots to do and see around on the boat. Unfortunately the last time we went the submarine next to the ship seemed to be out of service but of course that comes with age. I had a great experience on The Queen Mary and recommend staying there for anyone who is in Long Beach!
This was one of the most haunted ships I have ever stayed at.i hate it.i see ghosts everywhere.i have concluded this is the most haunted ship in the whole world.but overall it’s great,I just wish Robby would not Bother me.
As an avid ship and ocean liner lover, I have mixed feelings about the museum and tour. The good - happy that I got to see what a true grand old transatlantic liner used to be, walked the decks and explored the rooms that I otherwise had only seen or read about in books and photos. Also glad that this impressive masterpiece of engineering and shipbuilding is preserved and not scrapped. The bad - was disappointed to see she was falling into a state of disrepair and needed some work in some areas. If walls could talk, they'd be yelling out that they're tired and worn out. I understand she's over 80 years old, but the current owners need to do a better job of upkeep. Is it worth it? It depends. If you're a true ship geek, yes. But if you're looking for a thorough fulfilling historical experience, it is passable.
