A very nice full service restaurant in Gold Canyon Mountain Brook golf course club house! Full menu except no dessert or soup options. Good coffee. Easy access and parking. Pleasant staff. Recommended.

We have been having weekly meetings & lunch at the Prospector for about a month now. The staff is welcoming & the restaurant is very clean, bright & has beautiful views. The food is great & they are very accommodating to needs. We've tried many things on their menu between us all & every one was awesome! Last week we came for our weekly lunch & they had our table reserved & special treats out for us! Prices are very reasonable. A great overall experience.

Ate breakfast here on Sunday morning. Two young gals as servers. No greeting, no smiles. It was like they did not want to be there. We saw customers having to go to the bar and get servers attention to get refills on coffee. Our server asked us if we wanted more coffee AFTER meal was finished. Then she asked us if WE remembered if she had asked us if we wanted more coffee or not. The one server looked like she had us rolled out of bed. When finished eating, no bill brought to table. We ended up going to bar and pay. We asked where our favorite waitress was, Ann. They let her go because she couldn’t keep up???Really??? I would much rather have a “senior” server who has a personality than the younger ones that do not want to be there and it shows on their faces and their actions!

They were doing really well, but now , ordered a burger with a lil pink and got well done/burnt burger. Bun also not fresh, a little stale. Fries were soggy and cold.

Excellent food and drinks. Fantastic service. Very busy in season but with reservations still fast seating and service.
