We got the coconut cream tart and the banana cream tart. Both topped with a light layer of cream that sits on top a thicker than condensed milk/heavier/sweeter layer of inner cream. The crust is flaky, yet sturdy enough to hold everything together, and is lined with a layer of chocolate. The banana cream tart contained chilled banana slices. Other than that, the cream and crust was the same as the coconut cream tart so the banana was not overpowering! The coconut cream tart was topped with lots of coconut shavings, while the banana cream tart was topped with chocolate savings. In terms of sweetness, on a 1-10 scale, I'd give it a 6-7 so it's medium sweet (not a tart tart) and each can enjoy his/her own!

This place is always lovely! One of my favorite places to stop by. The baked goods are so yummy and there are so many choices. It's worth the wait, unless the line is down the block, if you're visiting I would probably stick it out tho. The service is wonderful and very knowledgeable about the different items they serve. Probably not where I would go if I just wanted a coffee but a wonderful lunch spot.

I love a good bakery as much as anyone, but Tartine is overrated. When I first came in, I was impressed by the variety. They have multiple varieties of coffee, bread, and sandwiches, in addition to pastries. However, this variety is completely counteracted by the price. Each item here was heavily marked up and, quite frankly, it wasn’t worth it. I tried the chocolate croissant and the pumpkin bread. Both were good. I don’t have any complaints. However, when you pay $6 for a croissant, you expect to be wowed.

Honestly, have to say that the place is really cool. Good atmosphere. We ordered the banana tart and it was delicious. However, two bad things to mention: 1. The service of the cashier was awful. He ignored everything we asked, shaking his head in disrespectfully. 2. The coffee taste was disaster, probably fell on bad coffee maker. When I turned to her again politely stating that the coffee is not with extra fume as I requested, she got upset, threw the coffee to the sink and did a favor to make it again. Bad coffee was served on the second time, not warm, only fumed milk without caffeine at all. Hope they will learn from it for further customers.

This place was a bit out of the way for me but it was BEYOND worth the trip! It doesn't look like much from the outside and you might just miss it were it not for the amazing smell calling you in. Be prepared to wait a while in the queue as tourists and locals know about the bakery. In short, this spot is well deserving of its reputation.
