We were on vacation when we visited the Sunset Grille and Raw Bar we were on vacation. During our week stay in the Florida Keys we visited this restaurant 4 different times. We were very impressed with the bartender Jayme, and the servers India and Sarah were absolutely amazing. They were definitely knowledgeable of the menu and were very helpful in suggesting different things for us to try. The kitchen staff is absolutely amazing with cooking your fresh catch anyway you choose. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again when we go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great sunset view over dinner, a fun filled corn hole area, or a cool dip in the pool while having lunch or dinner.

I've been here a few times in the past, including 3 times during this vacation. We were here at roughly 5pm this afternoon and it was the typical experience I have come to expect. Beautiful sunset, great atmosphere. We returned at 830 to watch a Bears /Packers game and the place could not have been more different. The staff was disinterested, rude, and the bartender argued about honoring their advertised specials during football games. They had a large TV by the pool with football games on. I asked if the big screen would be on later for the Packers/Bears game, because being from Wisconsin we were looking for a place to watch the game and couldn't think of a cooler environment than a large screen while we were in the pool overlooking the ocean. I was told it would be on until 10:00, which is closing time. They shut it off at 9. The staff started pushing us out an hour before closing. Once the bartender agreed to honor their advertised prices, the service slowed considerably. It would not have bothered me as much if I hadn't asked these exact questions hours earlier. If my review was based on my last experience, it would be 0 stars. I have had numerous quality experiences at this place in the past and will likely consider trying it again in the future. The staff was relatively young and I'm thinking they were to damn lazy to work until 10. Hopefully they are all gone by my next visit.

We came to the sunset grille because we arrived in Marathon to early to check into our rental. We hung out for 6 hours by the pool and it was amazing. Our server Chad was the best. Super attentive, funny, and just all around one of the best servers I've had. Had no problem with how long we sat (which I'm pretty sure was his whole shift) and made sure to continue to give us good service even as he became busy. He even laughed at our stupid jokes. The food was great and the drinks were better. I 100% suggest this place to people and definitely ask for Chad.
