Stanford Dish Hiking Trail, Stanford, CA 94305, USA
Great spot for a quick little walk! There are a lot of people who use this trail, but you don’t feel overwhelmed like other places I’ve been in the area. The path is paved the entire way; and it’s suggested that you stay on the paved surfaces. Some great scenic photos as well! Be careful, no bathrooms available! Bring water, as there is minimal shade.
Great place. The overlooking hill. Amazing...with my wife Dibeshwori visiting from Nepal.
One of my favourite places in the world. Fabulous views on a clear day. You can see the Bay Bridge, Moffatt Field, San Jose, Betelgeuse. This is a wonderful place to walk any time of the day, however it's extra special at sunrise. Last weekend I was surprised and ecstatic to be there to see the moon set in the West while the sun simultaneously rose in the East (6: 48 AM on Saturday 14/09/1919). I've never seen this before and possibly never will again. I caught it on the panorama below. I always leave this walk feeling energised, positive and excited. I hope you do too.
Great place for a walk or run. Go early as the weather is cool, later on it is tough with the sun beating down on you. Some very steep climbs and conversely drops.
Great nature, moderate hiking and possible to have long or short walking and running. Finding parking is really hard and most if them get full really fast. You can park in do far streets or around allies just carefully because Stanford can fine you and before park check all signs in the place. Carpool is the best option.
