We were driving by and decided to stop and hike the trail, and it was beautiful. This easy trail is about a 0.8 mile loop, and it has great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. They even have picnic tables along the trail, so if you plan ahead, you can enjoy a meal along with the views. I also saw a couple getting wedding photos taken. Bonus: There's a bathroom here. No plumbing, but it was clean and didn't stink.

A view to be remembered forever. 2 separate couples were getting married that day. I can see why. I loved that the trail made a circle back to the parking lot. We went twice. The Chipmunks were adorable. A must see

So when I lived in Colorado I would always drive by this spot without stopping. Now that I am visiting from out of state I stopped to enjoy the view. The lesson there is that we should always stop and enjoy the view when we have the opportunity. Sapphire Point provides some great views of Lake Dillon and the surrounding mountain ranges. The short 0.6 mile loop trail provides you views in every direction. The path is easy to walk in any outdoor shoe and is worth the time to walk all the way around. This is a very scenic location so be sure to have some kind of camera with you.
