Perhaps it was only my visit, but the music selection was oppressively loud & anachronistic modern pop music. I was told the venue was meant to be Cold War themed. I could not clearly have a clandestine conversation properly. Benefit of the doubt, the music may have been edited to contain a secret message. Such an Easter Egg would be in my eyes exceptionally commendable, but the choice of music this evening grated on my sensitive demeanor. Bring ear plugs. EDIT: Per request from the proprietor, I attended at 21:30 hours on Friday the Fifteenth of August, Twenty-nineteen. NEW EDIT: Happened to end up listening to some music that I think would coordinate with the venue's theme and perhaps a suggestion for local musicians to seek out. Was listening to Gerhard Trede's Film and TV score album Crime and Mystic after rabbit hole from the track Hercule Poirot, which was used a few times in SpongeBob. Hope this long overdue addition to my criticism in hopes of making this venue feel even more authentic is of help.
It offers something different, being a spy-themed restaurant and bar. The best cheese curds I've had so far! My friends and I had a good time completing their challenges. We also loved the photo booth, and we appreciate the little discount when checking-in. Agent Flamingo was My cheese curd ranking: 1. Safehouse 2. Jackson's Blue Ribbon 3. Culver's The house wine is very good. I ordered a class of Merlot and I wasn't disappointed. Took family that are visiting for dinner and they really enjoyed themselves at Safehouse. Looking forward to coming back!
