We came here for brunch on a Sunday and it was delicious. We had to wait in line for approximately 20 minutes, but it was worth the wait! We were easily able to get a table after we paced our order at the counter, and the food came out pretty fast. Our dish favorite was the Provence baguette.

A friend of mine that lives in Philly was so excited to take me to Matines Cafe and I was not disappointed! The pastries were so fresh, flaky, and melt in your mouth. The tea latte I got was to die for. Also the ambiance is so French and quaint. They have outdoor seating that I’m sure is super nice once the weather warms up! Only let down was that they were out of crepes when we ordered 😭

Stylish cafe. Nice staff. Tried a croissant and coffee as first time visit. Coffee was excellent but a little slow to show up at our table. Croissant presented well and tasted delicious but was under baked. Still enjoyed the overall experience. Very crowded. On street parking is available so being in a car should not stop you from getting a taste of France.

We went to Matines for a Sunday brunch and loved our experience- the food, the vibe and the staff were amazing! It’s such a cute, quaint, authentic French café decorated with Parisian art and decor; they even have French music playing and French and Europe art/goods/food for sale inside. It’s nice to not have to deal with center city madness/parking too since it’s in Chestnut Hill neighborhood. It’s a small space but they have a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating also. Food was super fresh and I recommend the Rose Latte (pictured) and Versailles baguette. I’ll definitely be back!

If you want to avoid a crowd or lunch rush, go during the off hours (early morning, weekdays, after peak lunch). I got there about 11a and took my seat quickly. Their croissant is a bit dry and tad too flakey for me but their sandwiches are worth the investment! The coffee is brewed strong (exactly how I like it).
