This location is such a treasure for people traveling from far outside of NYC as well as within the area. It's great you give bands like FRUIT & FLOWERS the much deserved space.

I went to a radical 60s themed party here a few months back. Great space. High energy. Amazing music. Talented DJ. All around blast! I don't know what the future of nightlife looks like in the city, but, when the time is right, I highly recommend the Knitting Factory to ANYONE looking for a FUN NIGHT OUT!

when they book well - its REALLY great and all the. bands have a cohesive feel unlike most venues that book a headliner maybe with an opener theyre on tour with and whoever is available then ends up thrown into the mix and its probably only noticeable to anyone whos at a few shows around the city or BK a week but otherwise most wouldn't notice or be bothered by it rarely complain about drink prices but they really push it charging $9 for 1 drink and might of all venues uses the grossest well whiskey that idk who can even pretend to drink because the awful taste..just to add salt to the wound of the steep price everyone working are great and always helpful / friendly and havent once had an issue HOWEVER ive seen several individuals have issues including bands who just played being not allowed back in after walking out to put gear away etc and try to walk back inside to have a door person get into a HUGE argument that begins with the individual being reasonable and explaining the situation yet apparently if you play but forget to grab one of the holy paper wristbands from inside - its been a zero tolerance type thing that escalates into massive arguments outside since in all honesty its ridiculous and never a situation or environment where bending that little rule will have no negative impact or even slightly from as I said only being an observer and if anything- the door person should at least have an explanation or why theyre being irrational because it comes off just absurd and gives a bad impression of an otherwise good venue you can see the live music space and bands playing without a ticket also (no sound though) -through the glass wall behind the connected side room that functions as a standalone bar. Kinda neat if only hanging out at the bar

We went out for the comedy night on Sunday, and it was the best time. First off, they let you bring in your own food, which was clutch for us! We came in early, grabbed some seats and hung out til the show started. By then, the place was PACKED, and we were glad we'd come early. The women who host this comedy night are SO bomb. They are hilarious and bring a variety of other acts to the stage. We laughed until we were exhausted. A perfect way to end our night.

Nice smallish venue for shows & a large bar in the front w/glass back wall to see into the show area. Cool place!😎
