I make it a mission to check out record stores in each city / state I visit. Really nice location and the parking made it great (coming from California). They had a wide variety of rock n roll, jazz, blues. The rap & hip-hop vinyls are severely overpriced. Nice staff, no one was hounding me to see if I needed help. They just let me enjoy the vibe of the record store.

A bit tricky to get to if you miss the parking lot turn in. You'll want to turn where it looks like you're going to the boot store if you're on the LBJ service road. Staff is very helpful. Huge inventory and more than just vinyl. Lots of inventory and memories from the old Bill's Records and Tapes store.

Good variety of records. Some records are way overpriced. Not enough customer restrooms for such a big store. They have dedicated restrooms for employees only. Customers not allowed in these and need to walk to other side of store and wait for available to use.

Wide selection of items to shop for reasonable prices. Wish there were more of certain genre of music but I'm sure the store gets emptied out once new inventory comes in quickly. Always leave with a smile, a handful of goodies and an over all great experience.

I live north of Dallas, and, if I lived closer to Josey Records I would be broke. I spent an hour in there and didn't even scratch the surface (no pun intended) of all the available inventory. Great selection, reasonable prices on used vinyl as well as a good variety of new vinyl. The store has so much more than LPs, though my focus was on increasing my record collection, which I did. I scored a lot of (to me) great 80s LPs and will be back when I have more time...and more money.
