I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place, but what I had was good. Our table had She crab soup, garlic butter claws, house salad, and the Oak Room burger. The soup didn’t taste like some traditional she crabs but was a nice flavor. If you have to eat claws, this is the way! The salad dressing was delicious - not sure if honey mustard but tasted similar. Burger was cooked perfectly and tasted good. The fries were not the best. So if you love a fry good luck. Lastly, the croissants are delicious!! They are served warm with honey butter dripped across them! You could have this with soup and salad and be satisfied!

I loved this place (especially the croissants)! The food was great, the service was excellent and the food came out fresh and fast! Our bill was only $67 for a couple: My date and I shared an appetizer then we each ordered an entree (which comes with one side) and we shared a bottle of spring water. The atmosphere is sleek so many professionals dine here for lunch. I highly recommend! We’ll be back!

Finally took my husband here as this has been one of my favorites for the last 15 years. I wish that I had not talked it up so much as he wasn't all that impressed. I made reservations however we still had to wait about 20 minutes, the hostess was not nice at all and was more interested in playing on her phone and flirting with her co worker. My husband tried getting a drink from the bar while we waited and the bartender made eye contact several times but never asked to help him or get him a drink. So he gave up on it after standing there the full time we were waiting to be seated. Once we got seated it took about another 30 minutes for someone to come to our table (after having to ask another server who would be serving us.) From there the server came out and apologized and said she didn't know she had a table. (She only walked past us like 10 times.) She was attentive and friendly once she began to serve us. All of the food was very slow to arrive to our table. Salads and croissants were yummy, I had chopped steak and it was over salted and overcooked. My husbands steak was ordered Medium Rare and it came out Medium +. Due to length of time the food took to come out, we were not going to send them back so we ate them. We did order dessert thinking it would come out faster than the others did.... nope, it took a long while as well. It was tasty but by the time it arrived the table we were basically over the dining experience here. Then it was the typical scenario where the server disappears when you want the check, then when you get the check and just want to pay and leave. - Ugh! We were not in a hurry by no means, the restaurant was not full or that busy but things were moving extra slow this night and it was quite disappointing. In the past, this place felt like 5 star dining and now I would say it's moved way down. Doesn't feel like anything special or like fine dining. Their to-go orders seemed to be their main focus over the ones actually dining. Also where our table was we could see the kitchen and the cooks and where the servers would get drinks. Most servers were just standing there socializing and on their phones vs checking on their tables. As we walked out, we could see the same frustration on others faces who were dining. Sad to say that I won't be making a trip back here. It's a solid hour drive for me and I would rather go somewhere else that appreciates my business and is still on point with their food, service and morale.

My husband and I decided on a last minute dinner and made reservations at Joey D's to celebrate our anniversary. From the honey butter croissants, to the tender filets, we were impressed with our meal. Even though we were stuffed, we managed to find room for the brownie dessert. They melt an entire bar of Hershey's over the brownie which was the most decadent thing I've had in a while. Our server was the sweetest and gave us a little hand-written 'happy anniversary' note as we were leaving, which was a sweet touch. Very nice date night!

Came here for a date night to try it out and I wasn't impressed. We sat at the bar, the food came pretty fast but the bartender could've been better. She was courteous but lacking attentiveness and personality. The food was just okay, definitely not worth the prices. We had the charbroiled oysters, she crab soup and crab claws for the appetizers and they were good, maybe the best part of the meal. For dinner, my bf got the rack of ribs and they reminded me of something from Applebee's. The portion was good, flavor was basic. I got the steak with "cajun" butter or seasoning (I think the Delmonico) and wanted to send it back IMMEDIATELY. I ordered it med-well and it came out well done and CHARRED. I can eat a well done steak becauseit still was tender, it was the burnt outside that I couldn't get over. For $40, they should know better. We gave it to the dog when we got home. Probably would only come back for drinks IF we were in the area.
