It appears very nice inside but it was closed because we arrived late & also short of docents to show.
Beautiful place with so much history about Mendocino County and Fort Bragg in general. The staff was very knowledgeable and was more than happy to answer all questions. The building has been renovated recently and is in pristine condition. Great place for a family on vacation to learn about the area. Plus who gets to see a piece of the largest Redwood Tree ever cut down in Mendocino County.
The tour guides are very knowledgable. Many books to purchase on history of the area--if your child needs a reference or two for a school report, their mini-bookstore is an excellent resource. The local history displayed with photographs throughout this home is great. What a gem of the area!
Love the preservation of the house! The old man at the front was really nice and gave us a little narrative.
Enjoyed visiting the Guest House Museum. Its amazing to see how society once lived.
