Took my kids camping here and we had the best time. There's plenty to explore. Campsites that have electric and water are shaded with trees so be mindful of the the stuff they drop. There are playgrounds for kids to play and of course you can't beat finding those dinosaur prints. Staff are helpful, professional and friendly. Water was clean and clear but a bit cold. Overall, we would definitely come back and explore some more.

I used to live near here and came here quite often. Enjoyed hiking and seeing the authentic, Dinosaur foot prints, only visible when river is dry in certain areas. I love the swimming holes. It's just a good place to hike and enjoy beautiful Texas! Y'all be safe driving on the two lane highways down there, I've seen many serious head-on collisions. God bless and have fun in TEXAS ❤

Great place to take the family. Wade the Paluxy River to look for several different kinds of Dinosaur foot prints that roamed Texas long ago. Swimming, kayaking, hiking, and camping are just some of the things you can do here. They have parking, restrooms, and camping areas. They also have a store that sells drinks and Souvenir items from the park. The kids really found the dinosaur foot prints amazing. Just know that getting down to the river requires going down steps of rocks, wood, and dirt and can be difficult for people with bad knees, and going back up! Also be aware that the bedrock in the river can be slippery as well. You can call the park ahead to check river conditions.

Great place to visit quiet and tranquil. Unfortunately when we visited the river tracks were under water and not visible so we well have to plan a return trip whenever they are not submerged and visible again. The horse rides they have there are awesome as well. The sore on the grounds could use some work on their hospitality but other than that it was a great experience.

The park itself is great, an interesting shop and history and the dinosaur tracks are really amazing to look at. However, be careful and keep track of where you’re going when hiking. There are not trail markers (occasionally you may find paint on a tree but it does not correspond to a certain trail) and exit signs often contradict each other. My family and I set for the Rocky Ridge Trail. It was supposed to be one mile long and take us thirty minutes. Instead, because of how much the paths crossed and the lack of trail markers, we ended up hiking for two hours and probably around five miles. Exit signs would point in one direction and then the next would point back. Even worse, this was in the evening and it was pitch black by the time we got back to the car. I don’t recommend hiking in the afternoon or evening at this park. This is the first park I have been to that has lacked trail markers.
