Yay finally a place with delicious fresh shrimp not covered in seasoning (if you don’t want it). My 7 year just wants the shrimp and her lemon and cocktail sauce and they delivered! Fresh, delicious jumbo steamed peel and eat shrimps. However, if you want the seasoning they have mild, medium, and hot. My grilled catch of the day, grouper, was delicious. Corn was sweet and crunchy. We didn’t have a great dinner experience last night so we are thrilled to enjoy our meal and water views here for lunch. Love a local brew with my fish as well. We will be back!

There are 2 Dewey Destin's restaurants. We prefer the one on the bay as it has beautiful views of Crab Island and faces westward for fantastic sunsets. The food is fresh from the gulf and can be prepared fried or grilled. Specials change daily. Highly recommended!

So if you really want to experience the olden days of Destin then you can't wrong with a trip to Dewey Destin's. Mostly outside seating with many of the picnic tables perched on the piers overlooking the water. We were first timers and the Fried Gulf Shrimp 🍤 basket with fries was recommended by several patrons waiting in the outside line. All I can say the between the atmosphere, the seating overlooking the water and the shrimp, I will definitely put this on my list of "coming back to again." 4 thumbs up from my wife and I for the entire experience.

Great fried shrimp. Great atmosphere and view of the sunset. The Colossal Fried Shrimp is perfect for two. The only negative is the huge line you have to wait in to order your food. - May 2018 Ditto last year's comments. - May 2019 We added an extra side of hush puppies to our Collosal Shrimp. Good move. That gave us 4 each instead of 1 each. Those hush puppies are probably the best serve had anywhere. They added a new double decker dining area. Not only does this expand their limited seating, but it is needed more that one of their docks was destroyed in last week's Hurricane Sally. We arrived at 5:30 and had a line that reached the end of their deck. By 6:30 the line was at least twice as long, wrapping around by their new seating deck. - Sept 2020

Get here early because the line grows fast. Atmosphere makes the dinner. Fried shrimp were good. My son got the chicken tenders and he like them ... and my wife got the soft-shell crab sandwich and said it was good also. Prices were good. Hushpuppies could have used less seasoning.
