One of my favorite hot springs. There are several trails to get here. I have been visiting the hot springs for the last 3 years. I think probably the best time to go is during the winter. The water is always hot and at least during the winter you dont get over heated. During the summer the hot springs can be packed full of people. Like I said before the water is always hot so in the summer people tend to spend more time splashing around in the creek instead of the hot springs. No matter what season though this place is always fun. Also a great place to shed all your clothes and enjoy the freedoms of nature.

Love deep creek. Amazing place. Pure heaven in my opinion. For those that are unhappy with the Bowen ranch owner. There are many other ways to get down to the springs for free. Always be respectful to nature pick up your trash don’t write graffiti and most of all bring plenty of water and food. Don’t poop by the water. For a better look at what it’s like to be at deep creek or other nude or clothing optional adventures feel free to check out my youtube @ belzaristhename. You can ask me any questions on directions to deep creek via Bowen ranch or other ways around for free. Take care and be safe out there on your journey!

Love this place, absolute Oasis. Please clean up your trash! And I hate to say it...but take some others trash with you too... Because some idiots can't clean up after themselves.

The (presumed) Bowen ranch owner interrupted us as we were attempting to follow all of his rude and demanding instructions written in a threatening fashion with a manic hand. All the more unnecessary and disturbing since there is clearly an honor system set up to allow patrons to pay with envelopes in his absence. The man then started barking physical commands demanding that I stand in a certain place and demanding that I not follow certain rules that were written on his impolite signs. He demanded that we both leave the car and stand on his stoop? I was just fine standing in the ground so I stayed there. He then went into a smouldering rant about 'constantly having to send search and rescue missions' ... Clearly exaggerated if true at all. When I would not follow strange and unpleasant physical commands that he gave or feign interest in answering completely off topic and prying questions (where I stand and where I drove from and whether I were to hand him a piece of paper that he himself put in a box for guests are not matters that concern this very unwell and unpleasant man) the man became increasingly angry. I tried my best simply not to engage more than necessary with this man and certainly did nothing impolite whatsoever. I handed him $20 did not ask for any change and waited for him to stop talking hoping I could just get back in the car and not see him ever again. When he seemed to sense that I was not going to engage with him in any kind of personal way the long-haired old white man flew into a rage started swearing at me saying insulting names I won't repeat here end demanded that we leave the property. The man is clearly a lonely man and a cowardly and insecure bully. I followed every logical written instruction I could and simply did not want to engage with this man or follow any of his unnecessary impolite and totally inappropriate physical commands. From what others have said about this man it is very clear that he will try to make a deep and unhealthy emotional connection with anyone coming on what he purports at least to be his land because he's severely unwell and desperate. Many people have reported this man following them around the property and the hot springs lording his bully like behaviour over people on land that does not even belong to him. (The ranch near the hot springs is private but the springs are public and can be accessed otherwise, and he is reported to have verbally assaulted people all the way to the springs). It would not be a surprise to me that a man who is as insecure and cowardly as he is Will have a gun that he will resort to if someone demonstrates the limits of this man's right to impose his sickness on other people. He is reported to have slashed the tires of and pulled a shotgun on at least one person because of his emotional and mental instability. Expect violence.

This was exactly the kind of natural hot spring I've been searching for my entire life. They (as in the other randos around) said the water coming out of the pipe is safe to drink. Since I'd run out of my water on my way in, I had no choice but to fill up, but tried not to drink much of it on the trek back due to my skepticism from previous backpack outings. I tested the water when I got home and here are my results: there is potentially harmful bacteria in the water and the pesticides test came out inconclusive. If it's just giardia, there's a tablet you can add to your water for that, but further testing is required. If anyone wants to beat me to it, please do and post back here! It would be nice just to need a tablet or filter to reload on water for the trek out!
