Upon reading the previous reviews, I saw some people commenting it was a moderate hike but that it was kid and elderly friendly. I don't know if I would exactly agree. My husband, two year old son and I went and I pretty much had to hold my sons hand the entire time because he kept tripping over roots or rocks. There were also some narrow spots that were just too close to the edge of a long drop for my comfort with him. To top it off we had to carry him quite a bit for the way back so in the end, it was a bit much for us too. There were plenty of spots for us to take a breather on the rocks along the way which was nice. The falls were very lovely, lots of photo opportunities too. Mileage wise it is not far, but the path being rocky, muddy etc really slows you down. Give yourself plenty of time to do the hike, it will probably take longer than you think. Overall, I am glad we went, I just would have appreciated it if my son wouldn't have had to be carried so much. Also, the parking lot was packed. We had to circle around a few minutes to find a spot.

I've been to taller waterfalls, and I've been to ones that have greater volume, but this might be one of the most beautiful ones I've been to. Super lush, with plenty of moss and cascading sections. I see why it's popular. I got there before 8 this morning (Saturday, June 8), and my friend and I pretty much had it to ourselves, but by the time we left (10ish) the parking lot was pretty close to full. Get there early and you shouldn't have issues getting some good pictures:).

During the month of October the waterfloa was not that great. The hike was nominal not that hard. But while cominng back its step. So might be stressful for elderly people. Overall a good experience.

Not a bad hike down to the falls. The hike back up after relaxing at the bottom and listening to the falls is a little less fun, but that is to be expected. This is for sure one of the busier trails, so expect a full parking area when you arrive and plan for plenty of others on the trail with you. Stay off the slippery rocks and you'll be just fine.

So beautiful!! Make sure to pack your hiking shoes I actually hiked this with my husband and I slipped several times going down as it gets very steep! If you dont want to go all th way way down though there was lots of places to get in the creek along the hike! The way back up was pretty challenging but so worth it!
