The capital was very pretty. There was not a lot to see, and I am disappointed that there were not tours. I enjoyed getting to see the mile above sea level marker.
They have tours available every hour. Since we still have to wear the mask, the tour lady we had, was hard to understand but you come in through the lower east side of the building, use the street parking and go through security to get your bags checked. They ask no pictures while you do the tour but you can take pictures in the areas where they authorize you to. The tour takes about 45 minutes and you tour the entire building. Plenty of restrooms inside by the way! It’s free and you make it to the top of the building which is the most incredible part of the visit. There, you can stay as long as you wish since the tour comes to an end here and can walk back downstairs and take your time checking out anything you wish.
Thank you guys for always keeping your restrooms nice and clean! I won't lie .... I'm Denver born and raised and I've gone here countless times to drop a load while I'm out and about skateboarding thru the city! The janitorial department here needs kudos and big thanks!
Lovely building. Lots of CO history.
We missed the last tour of the day so just walked around on our own. It’s a beautiful building but would have been better to catch the tour and know what we were looking at. The dome was closed so we couldn’t go up and see it, but we did see the attic with some history and facts of Colorado. If you’re in the Capitol Hill area it’s worth checking out, especially if you can grab the tour. We did catch a part of the tour and were able to listen in about the House and what happens there. We stayed about 45min
