Very cool spot to go to chill or a date. Its low key, dimmed lights and is reservation only if you want to secure a table. You enter via password that they'll give you after you confirm reservation closer to the date. Food quality and atmosphere is great. Specialty drinks look cool but taste OK in my opinion.
Disappointed in the changes. First, this is a speakeasy and it used to be dimly lit and a great atmosphere. I recently visited after the renovations and it is SO bright. It does not have the same atmosphere anymore when it is so bright inside. Also, there is no standing room at the bar anymore. If you don't have a seat and the tables at the bar are "reserved" good luck trying to get a drink. Now onto the menu, what was once a vast menu with many drink options has now been changed to such a small amount of cocktails. I always loved bringing friends and reading all of the different and unique speakeasy inspired cocktails. Lastly, the password. It is always so fun bringing friends who have never been before and having them call and ask for the unique and fun password and using it to get inside. It's normally something random and makes the entire experience that much better. Well, when we went the password was 1234.... I am just very disappointed because I frequented Ciro's often and always loved bringing out of town guests and boasting about this unique speakeasy bar. This past experience we left without even ordering a drink because we were so disappointed.
Staff was awesome and they have Barrilito on the menu... what else do you have to ask for? Great cocktails and service!! From beginning to end it was just great :) On a chill night the ambiance was very special and intimate. 10/10
Remodeled the restrooms here. Nice place great food. kitchen staff is skilled. Nice theme geared towards the prohibition days. The prices are way steep in my opinion. However if you are looking for a fun place and care not what it cost this might be the place for you. As it is off Bayshore it fits into the higher end of the Tampa crowd. Really privet setting good for one table gatherings that need a bit more privacy. Really discrete settings for each table.
Drinks were OK. Service was VERY slow, but the waiter was trying to take care of too many tables at once. Definitely not enough bartenders as it took 15 minutes to get the first drink. One major issue, either the AC didn't work or they had it set to around 80. With the number of people packed into such a small space, they have to set it in the low to mid 70s. It was extremely uncomfortable. We will not be back.
