A great place to dine. One of Harlem's best. Friendly waiters, excellent service, great tasting food. Amy Ruth not only has great food but their menu is fun to read as the plates are named after some of the community's greatest leaders. There is an air of culture and caring throughout the entire restaurant.

Awesome chicken and waffles! Served hot and white chicken was juicy and not dry! We had a poor experience with another famous spot for fried chicken and was disappointed but Amy Ruth’s did it right! Excellent customer service and fast water refills. We came right when it opened. Would recommend to those visiting out of town. The waffle was so delicious and I wish I knew how to get it to the texture it had. Slightly crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Oh and the cornbread was great! Nice flavor and texture.

Staff is great, and food is delicious. The portions are very generous. I recommend the fried okra and the grits as sides. Their chicken is juicy, and my friend tried the ribs, which were apparently very nice as well. An entry with 2 sides is more than enough for a meal. Their cornbread is good. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

Great food and great service. I tried here for the first time and must say that the food was delicious I had the jerk chicken dish with potato salad that was the best I've ever had. The candied yams are so delicious you can eat it as a whole meal. I will definitely be visiting again in the future

I went here yesterday for dinner and it was awesome! The restaurant was clean and had some really cool artwork all over the walls of famous African Americans. The food tasted amazing. I had the honey fried chicken, Mac and cheese and potatoe salad. Everything was delicious. The food came out really fast and the server was very nice and friendly. Definitely would come back again when I'm in the area
