Quantity rather than quality. If you want a whistle stop tour of space, time, oceans, evolution, geology etc then this is great especially for younger families whose children's attention span is short, with interactive activities there is plenty for them to see for a £5 donation. However if you are more interested in one particular subject then it is rather limited and dated. Good for a cheap, wet day out with the kids but don't expect too much. Access is easy for all and toilets in every level and clean, free cloakroom facilities so you can dump your shopping, pushchair, wet umbrella (children sadly on not taken!!)

Went here with two of my nephew's and my mum we had a great day here. There are many different things to look out and find out some interesting things. The aquarium was closed for renovations when went so didn't get to see that part how ever we all really enjoyed the planetarium.

A fantastic place to visit with the family, there are 5 floors and it is accessible with three lifts and added bonus of an indoor picnic area. The aquarium is quite small but has a wide variety of sea creatures, the mummies exhibit is brilliant. Entry is free with a request for donations.

The museum was fantastic. Can't believe it was free. The Egypt section was exceptional. There's tons to see and definitely worth it. There's a few spaces available for parking but it fills up quickly. We parked across the street and walked to this museum as well as the art gallery. Only reason I knocked down a star is because there were several school trips that were unattended. The kids were playing hide in seek while we're trying to read about the mummy displays. They were also running up and down the stairs.
