A splendidly well maintained castle with very nice views from top and from gardens. Lots of rooms to cover indoors which are preserved immaculately. At the Kingmaker, you could actually feel and smell the medieval times. The maze was fun. The falcon show was also a nice entertainment. Stuff at the souvenir shop was expensive though. The parking is expensive at £10 for the day at Stables car park. If you can finish your visit within 2 hours then there is cheaper on street parking available nearby. The tower had around 500 stairs through a narrow alley. You cannot reach the top without being out of breath. It is not suitable for young kids, physically challenged and pregnant women. Overall a really nice place to spend the day

Excellent, informative staff. Well kept grounds. Immaculate throughout. Steeped in history. Good free tours. Birds of prey show stunning. Great location

This venue is delightful and full of fun and activities. The but is the food that is available, some visitors would like more than a sandwich, the one and only pizza vendor had a mile long queue. Which does suggest there is a need for hot food over and above the sausage roll or pasty available in the cafe.

Fantastic family day out. There is so much for the whole family to experience including archery, spooky gruesome experiences, crazy maze and an amazing well kept castle that displays some amazing historic items. Most of all if you are able to climb the dark spiralling staircase you will have views that are worth the climb.
