Very interesting throughout, however not that many one off wow pieces but the collections are interesting and informative. Very well put together museum if you want to know Ulster history. The wow section I found in this museum was the Game of thrones tapestry and the iron throne chair woven by a master basket maker who also hand woven the three giant dragons displayed centre of the Ulster main museum. lovely cafe and gift shop.
Interesting museum with plenty of things to see. The wide range of topics covered makes it a great first impression of different subjects for kids. And, it's free of charge, but it does rely on donations from the public.
Nice museum with a large portion dedicated to the history of Ireland/Northern Ireland. From ancient human and natural history to a nice and seemingly unbiased exhibit explaining the troubles, this is a good free tourist attraction for tourists (or even locals!).
This is one attraction that is well worth seeing. The whole history of how Northern Ireland evolved as a country and more. Great exhibits and plenty of text explaining what happened, why it happened and when it happened. Gets busy at the weekend and when cruise ships are in port visiting.
Firstly, visit to see the Game of Thrones tapestry it IS TRULY fantastically done. Tells the whole story of GOT series' and it so well made. Was speechless. Its a big, well laid out museum with everything you could ask for but in the right amounts. From history of the troubles to the animal kingdom to a fantastic selection of art.
