Who doesn't love the Meadows? A wonderful area in the heart of Marchmont. Perhaps a few too many doggies but there's a great children's playground and very good tennis courts. Lovely tree lined walks.
The meadows is such a nice place. There is always something to gaze at over there, rain or shine. When the sun shines, expect to see the meadows filled with people and disposable bbq sets, delicious picnics and sports activities galore. This is somewhere that anyone has to go if they come and visit Edinburgh, such a landmark. There are also cycle friendly routes which are so useful for all types of travellers. On one side you have stunning views of the George Square campus of the University of Edinburgh and on the other side are a range of flats overlooking the perfectly trimmed green grass. There are also golfing opportunities here in the Meadows. Everyone has to visit this place, whether to chill or just to walk through.
great playpark for kids. will be very busy in sunny days. if you’re lucky, you could meet famous people here like Justin Trudeau (happened to me)
Great open Park just on edge of City Centre. Spots where its quiet, others to find a game of football, tennis courts and playpark. Cycle lanes too so lots of choices.
Nice green spot with golf, tennis and kids facilities in the heart of Edinburgh; surrounded by plenty cafes, pubs and supermarkets. A good occasion to enjoy the sunshine in Edinburgh
