Beautiful green space with fantastic views, right in the middle of the city centre. Even with all the roads and people around, the gardens are really peaceful and are a perfect spot to relax. It's easily accessible, as is right next to Waverley station and a 5 - 10 minute walk from the Royal Mile.
Great view of the castle and near the station. In the heart of the city. Nice park overall. Can't fault it, airs better than the southern equivalent too! Great dogs as well. People in Scotland have much cooler dogs than us English folk
In a busy and bustling city, which in itself is beautiful and full of character, the gardens offer a place to get away from the activity for a while and take in the peaceful surroundings. It within easy reach from any part of the city. There are other green areas around the city, but this offers very relaxing and scenic vistas.
A walk to refresh yourself in the morning and evening. But the park is beautiful anytime of the day. It's kind of little tucked between the busy streets and the train terminus. The two level park blooms most of the year. It's a nice place to meet people, look at the castle little away and the Scottish Monument right there.
have loved coming here ever since a little girl. Plenty benches to sit. There's also the flower clock with the cuckoo. There's not many cities have beautiful gardens right along it's main shopping street with a view to an amazing castle!
