Haven't been able to view the house as yet as now closed until the spring but the grounds and deer park are simply beautiful. We had the privilege in talking to the Deer Keeper who spent a great deal of his time explaining the complexities of running the deer park and ended by saying he had the best job in the world. A visit to this beautiful place will confirm.

Although unable to visit the house as it was out of season we were still able to enjoy the grounds and views of the Deer Park. We were privileged to meet the deer keeper who spent some time explaining the complexities of his vocation. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful and tranquil spot in Cornwall.

HHA home's benefit enormously from owners that are interested. This is not a place that is open simply to keep the tiles on the roof. These particular owners are developing the whole experience inside and out. Our guide Eileen is worth her weight in gold with a local accent to die for. Thank you for a splendid day. Excellent mackerel sandwiches too.

My sister and I had tea and scones today and it was lovely. We were out in the sun overlooking the country side below where there were lots of deer. We didn't do a tour this time but I enjoyed seeing the exterior and grounds. Cafe a lovely place to visit free, tours cost extra.

Would definitely recommend. Lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle of Padstow Harbour! A very beautiful house with a very interesting history having managed to stay in the same family all these years. Amazing that the current owners still live there and seem to be happy to coexist with the tourists. It gives such a personal and interesting insight. Slightly odd tour guide but maybe that's some of the charm! Had cake and coffee in the café which was very nice. Gardens are relatively small which means they are easy to get round. Whole tour of house, gardens and cake took about 2 1/2 hours but you could spend much longer if you wanted. Cost £10 per adult for house and gardens including tour.
