It's certainly a point worth seeing in Belfast, it is wild to think such walls exist in an otherwise modern and dynamic city. Definitely need to read some history to fully appreciate them. The graffiti is varied and may become as symbolic as that on the Berlin wall in the coming years.
Beautiful. Sad they were called peace walls and were pretty much dividing walls. You can write on one side of the wall so take your own markers if you choose not to do a tour. However, the best way to learn more about the history is to do a Black Cab Tour.
The name of it expresses the hope. The reality of it establishes the opposite. US and THEM geographically and mentally. This wall represent the differences and how much effort and time will be needed to overcome it.
Extremely interesting and very touching. Went on a black cab tour with Kieren and he told it how it was through the street's of Belfast. Very pleased with it. Belfast such a beautiful place. We are Australian travellers and loved it and moved by it. Thankyou Ireland xx
Very moving, terrifically sad. Very important to see. Peace must be supported for both groups, their children, the 2 nations.
