What a gig Idles, amazing show you rocked, my earrings were flying. Worth the wait. I walk with stick usually go upstairs but to the lovely security on the door who walked my bestfriend and I to the disabled part ground floor. Big appreciation and it was great to see you before the end to say, thank you. Still rates as one of my top gig venues. Xx

I always love this venue; no it’s not the nicest or cleanest, but it’s iconic and hugely culturally significant. Over the years I have probably seen 20+ bands here and the venue never disappoints; it’s always a great night and the skiing floor makes a huge difference. I hope to be coming back here for many many years to come!

Little Simz at O2 Academy Brixton, an absolutely inspiring performance. Her truth is profound and razor sharp. Her observations are an insightful articulation of the lived experience of being young, female and black in 2021s Britain. This performance, energetic and powerfully moving, confirms there is no artist better placed to act as a role model in youth culture. If she extended her artistry into political activism, her impact could be immense.

As far as music venues go you won't find many better in London. Easily accessible from the tube station (either 5 min walk or 2 min bus). Loses a star because of the extortionate alcohol prices though they do sell 2 pint jugs of beer to save on keep going to the bar. Staff are friendly and helpful and crowd safety is always their top priority.

We had an awful experience. The door staff here forget this place is in a city, and people travel from afar. One of my friends was presumed to be drunk (ironically the only sober one out of all of us as this was a pirate metal drinking crew), and they wouldn't let him in. He did everything they asked, but they were rude and horrible to him. Because of the distance and being separated, he had to wait alone in this strange city. Makes you wonder if they would have done this to a girl? Probably. Just really horrible staff. Overpriced drinks. Ridiculous bar queues (not enough staff, never is). Toilets were dirty and look like they were decorated in 1801 cheaply. Wouldn't recommend this place to my mortal enemy.
