Very interesting historic site. Levant was the largest and deepest tin mine. Plenty of guided walks and tours. Lovely walks in nice weather past all of the engine house ruins. Worth a visit.

Wonderful, historic place in a stunning location. Starts off with a visit to the small museum where you are introduced to Cornish mining with a really good video.Then a talk on the hardships endured by the miners and their families, and the techniques of mining under the sea. You are then taken round the mning works outside, the main shaft where the miners descended, and finally to the working beam engine. The guides are witty, very entertaining and obviously experts in their subjects. One of the best tours I have had and well worth a visit.

More to see here than you may at first think. The real benefit of this site is enjoyed best if you join one of the tours which takes an hour and really helps explain the history. You also get to go down the man engine tunnel on the tour and get a talk in the engine house with the engine in motion! There's also a really good video to watch in one of the outbuildings which is a good 20 minutes long.

A stunning stretch of coastline and a really interesting bit of mining history. Check when they are running the man engine and go then to get the full experience. This is a museum of exhibits with information notices, but also knowledgeable staff so worth a chat.

This is a World Heritage Site and features an old steam beam engine in full working order. Youngsters given a go at starting the engine and also taken below ground into the mine shaft. An excellent tour for adults but far to long for children!
