Well maintained. Reasonable price. Helpful staff. Interesting displays. Stunning views across Lewes. Narrow and steep climbs to the top, just something to think about, our infant made it and I'm totally unfit and made it as well ☺️ You couldn't get a buggy up there, so would have to carry your little one and it would be difficult if you had mobility concerns. There are toilets in the ticket office, a gift shop and small museum display.

Interesting little museum. The displays illustrate clearly the historical development of the town of Lewes and the castle throughout history. Make sure you climb to the top of the keep and also the gatehouse tower for panoramic views of the town and the surrounding countryside.

Great historical landmark. Really old! Not too overwhelming, easily finished in 1 hour. Archeological artifacts and two castle towers. Some steep and narrow stairs, but doable by 4-5 year old +.

A castle with a very interesting history. Takes maybe an hour to walk about the grounds and appreciate the views from the turrets and towers. Some good photo opportunities and the staff are willing to lend you any umbrellas in the lost and found if necessary 🌂 😋
