Had a wonderful day strolling around the different areas! So diverse so many different types of plants trees and greenhouse greenery. Amazing. U need a full day to get round a good part of it! Took a picnic so could stop anywhere for a rest with beautiful views. Shall return!!
From the moment I stepped through the gates my breath was taken away. A magnificent experience unfolded every step I took. New children's play area so beautifully designed to encourage the next generstion to be part of this historical icon. Discover modern with the old, different textures combined to tell the full story. Started the day with hours of delightful easy walking. Grab something casual to eat or opt for elegance, the choice is yours. The food is delicious. I ended the day with a tour on the explorer which enables you to be taken to the areas you cannot quite make. Hop on or off, you dictate your pace!! A full memorable day with such beauty not to be missed. Plus we are part of history and the future of our planet as we support this great work at Kew Gardens.
Kew Palace situated in Kew Gardens is well worth a visit if your interested in history. Admission is free but donations are hopefully given in the large collection box in the Entrance. As I did not have much time to spare looking around, i only managed to look at the bottom 2 levels of the 3 storeys you can view. Most of the subject matter in the palace revolves around George 111 and Queen Charlotte's use of the palace. A good insight to his large family and treatment used in the times for his madness.
Great location to visit, it does need a good hour or two to fully explore and take in all it has to offer. It makes a good pit stop on the walks around Kew Garden and is an insight into the life of some of the monarchy many years ago. There is no lift in this building so if you have pushchairs or similar, this building may be one to skip. It is also very dark inside even during day light so if you have poor vision, you may not be able to fully appreciate it.
Beautiful garden to visit. Quite big and green. They have good water facility, maps around, board signs for direction. Green house plants and beautiful glass work. Nice place for a family picnic. They have trains for 5 pound extra which travel from one to another corner of garden. Too much to cover for 1 day actually. Would suggest to take a pass so that you can go multiple times and enjoy the place. Just issue is the big lane while entering.
