Plenty of shops and cafes a good day but the cost was best 👍🏻

Excellent vibrant city which is famous for beaches . The seafront consists largely of Victorian hotels, a pier, a state of the art theatre, a contemporary art gallery and a Napoleonic era fort and military museum. Eastbourne was developed at the direction of the Duke of Devonshire from 1859 from four separate hamlets. Eastbourne boasts a newly-modernised town centre, consisting of a large shopping centre, 'The Beacon', and an extensive high street. It has a growing population, a broad economic base and is home to companies in a wide range of industries.
I have travelled through Eastbourne station and it looks nice, old, modern and clean along with direct Southern trains to and from Brighton, London Victoria, Hastings and Ashford International. I would give this 5 stars and a solid 9 out of 10. It's nice to pay Eastbourne a visit during the summer holidays even if you're travelling from London directly.
