OK but somewhat low class affair. I had high hopes as this is supposedly am exclusive patisserie that only has a handful of cafes around the world. When I entered I was definitely amazed with how well presented the cakes were. But the costs are expensive £11+ for one slice of cake and tea. The surroundings try to be posh but it's like an upmarket greasy spoon cafe. Waiters do their job but certainly not exceptionally welcoming or very polite. Not impolite but not as polite as I had expected. They walk around in a uniform but with trainers...looks cheap. I wouldn't go again to be honest. Prices are prohibitive. Nice try but I'll try tea and cake at Harrods or Harvey Nichols in the future. At least I can expect high service and a proper posh environment.

While the desserts look fantastic and the facade decor is beautiful, that’s about where the good things stop. The desserts are pretty basic and overpriced. I tried the cheesecake, and while it was airy and creamy, it was just a regular cheesecake. A tiny cheesecake mind you, for about 8 pounds. My friend got the blackberry meringue and it was also just as basic. Albeit the blackberry was very fresh. All in all, it’s great for pictures but lacking in flavor originality.

The old classic invention from Dominique. Ate long time ago in Paris and NYC and in the old London days but the brain needs always a refill of good memories and flavours. And definitely it is. As a side note the cappuccino was terrific, foamy at the right point. Simply delicious

It is the best place I will ever eat in. Their summertime watermelon ice cream was fantastic, I tell you. Their little cookie glasses with warm milk was so cute! They come and serve it when its on the table and fill right to the top. I want to go here again.

My friend and I met at this bakery for desserts. The Blackberry Meringue pastry was extremely delicious. The creme inside was very delicious and filled with some blackberry cream. The fruit was very fresh. I didn’t try the chocolate pastry but she said it was tasty! I’d definitely recommend Dominique Ansel to everyone. It’s a very cute little restaurant.
