My not so secret top present shop. Problem is when looking for a gift, one always finds something for oneself! Superb taste in everything. Understand & stylish fashion & interiors. Unfortunately stopped selling kids clothing. Not the cheapest but certainly one of the most stylish in Notting Hill.

An amazing selection of products but wished that I could say the same for their online service. Was keen on buying a few things online over the bank holiday as they were offering a 25% discount on all purchases. Unfortunately at check out, my discount code was not accepted after a few attempts. Sent them an email in regards and acknowledged my query with a ticket. Never got a response and a week has passed. Quite disappointing.

The downstairs shop I love; I go in every year and buy presents for all my loved ones bdays and Christmas presents. The shop on top I used to love too, I buy all my most beloved socks in there and used to get all my incense there too. But the earlier this week the ladies in the upstairs shop treated me really badly. I was carrying my 1 year old son in a carrier and going around checking out the socks and picking up the ones I wanted to buy - the first lady was sort of ok, she took some of the the socks up to the counter for me, the second one was aggressive; she got in my face and practically snatched things out of my hands. It was gross. Those ladies upstairs should not be treating people like that, especially people who have been coming for years and years, sure they don’t know me - but they seriously angered a previously very loyal customer. After I bought the socks upstairs I then went downstairs to buy some things and was treated with the same friendliness and hospitality as usual. I can’t believe I’m one-starring Couverture and Garbstore - but you’ve gotta sort those upstairs lot out!! For future customers my only advice is, spend your money downstairs - don’t support abusive people...

Lovely selections of both men and womenware include homeware. Staff are very helpful, great hidden shopping spot in west london. Must Go, if you are looking for something different from high street or well known high brands.

Housed in an three-floor townhouse, the store focuses on niche independent labels, exclusive collaborations and championing emerging talent. Emily, daughter of inventor Sir James Dyson, owns the Notting Hill store with her husband Ian Paley who started the menswear brand The Garbstore, giving the store its name (or at least half of it)
