I saw this shop online when planning my overseas trip to London. It was touted as a place to visit for an "instagramable" stop with sweet treat options. Unfortunately, it's a small shop front with not much else around to explore for a tourist like me and it's mostly packaged iced cookies inside ( not what I was looking for).
I was served by a really friendly staff member. I came into the store to get a personalised biscuit and it turned out beautifully. I only waited about 10 minutes to have it done. The biscuits are definitely quite pricey but the designs are so cute and whimsical, so I think it's a nice novelty gift. Unsure about flavour since the biscuit isn't for me!
Yes I agree - the cakes that we got were not edible as if they had sat there for several days. The woman also gave a slight offense by saying she had made a big slice for my friend and in fact it was not. We had a stomach ache after eating it. The charge for a cake like that at that standard is not acceptable. The baked iced biscuits were the same, very stale. We will not be returning.
My girlfriend waited until 10:00 opening time and the girl that was working saw her see that she was outside. Answers a phone call continues to ignore customer outside. My girlfriend stared at her and she walked over to the door not smiling, no form of greeting whatsoever and when she finished her call on the phone continued to act as if we were non existent. White man goes in and gets a joyful customer greet. This comes across almost racist and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Customer service was completely inadequate for a place that should deliver a joyful and interactive manner. This is not a restaurant or cafe opening up. Things for sale are on display. I would like to state that I did not receive this customer service with previous staff of Biscuiteers. For reference, this happened this morning at 10:00, white girl with the black hair tied back. She needs to be dealt with as it is unfair to put an unenthusiastic staff front of house especially when ethnic customers come in. This is beyond discrimination.
Great fun and confidence booster to do some diy Biscuiteering!
