Many different areas provide a wonderful range of views and experiences of plants and gardens. A gravel car park, with additional overflow, provide free parking and welcome you to the estate. The entrance to the nursery is first, selling many of the plants you'll find in the garden, leave it till last so you know what you might like to take home with you. The gift shop for tickets are in front of the clock tower of the stable block. Loos are to the left of the exit of the shop. Across the cobbled courtyard is the cafe selling cold food and salads, soup, hot meals, tea and coffee. Not cheap but worth the money as quality is excellent. To the left a path leads past a well and on through the woodlands on a walk. Going under the clock and to the right begins the tour of the gardens. Small garden rooms, and walled gardens make way to a long herbaceous edged walk and onto a very large walled area with a fountain. Other sights are an area full of tulips in the spring, a glass house, an avenue of giant clipped trees, a wonderful hidden dip down to a pond with shade loving and ericaceous plants is my personal favourite. I think there is lots to enjoy and plenty of inspiration for a garden. The house was closed by externally is a beautiful imposing sight.

Had a wonderful and peaceful afternoon here. The walk around the wood was a bit short and started off with negative thoughts, then toured the gardens which were wonderful. There were plenty of places to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the gardens. Talked to one of the gardeners who proved to be fount of knowledge on some of the rare and hard to grow plants. An excellent time here.

Beautiful Gem of a stately home in Cheshire. Well kept gardens and facilities. Peaceful picnic area with benches for family’s near the play area or secluded, hidden benches further into the gardens for a quieter bite to eat. Surrounded by some great walks.

Just had a great day out with my sons family kids loved it. Can recommend a visit not pricey. Staff really lovely people, food was great gardens and hall very nice lovely walks and a very good play park for the children who loved it loads of parking just all round good day thank you.

My wife and have annual membership at Arley so obviously we love it! What we like is how it changes through the seasons (late spring and summer are best for the splendid herbaceous borders). There are great area to picnic and you can wander through the woodland garden being constantly surprised by some unusual plant or tree around a hidden corner, often with no one else in sight. A constantly changing delight.
