level 31, The Shard, 31 St Thomas St, London SE1 9RY, UK
Bit on the expensive side but that view is worth it. To get a good table by a window you have to be alert, read people and see if someone is close to leaving and then you jump that table before they fully leave, otherwise someone else will take it in front of you. Staff is nice and helpful, location is great. It's got a fancy feel to it but you don't have to be overly dressed, just be casually nice.
We were greeted on arrival by a lovely host, she was lovely and bubbly which made us feel at home straight away . We were guided to our table and the view was beautiful , more than I could have hoped for on such a special occasion! Our waiter was the most attentive and helpful man, he made sure our needs were meet with such ease. The food was beautiful and beyond expectations the personal touch of the birthday plate was much appreciated . Overall an amazing experience ! All I can say is thank you so much.
Took my girlfriend there for birthday drinks. View was obviously wonderful. Staff were busy but extremely accommodating. Bartenders were surrounded at the bar and were constantly moving but our drinks came quickly and were as good as I've had in the city. Didn't have to look for a waiter. Everything just happened. Very slick indeed.
We visited today and I was pleasantly surprised by the hostess (her name was Ivalina). She was so punctual we sat on the table exactly 12:00 as per our reservation. She took my umbrella and coats we felt like home from the beginning. She gave us table next to the window so we can enjoy a stunning view from the Shard over London. Perfect. The food was delicious, 3 course menu was great. I would visit again.
Went there on a saturday morning for breakfast. I had the Full English plate with juice, tea, muffin and croissant. Absolutely delicious, fresh and homemade food. Perfect amount of food. Service was excellent, very considerate and friendly. Restaurant and Bar with the view across London are just beautiful. Not a cheap everyday-breakfast but an absolutely worth special experience.
