Zapecherna St, Kyiv, Ukraine, 02000
Huge (23rd tallest statue in the world) monument overlooking Kiev. Great views across the city from the area. It's part of the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. I didn't visit the museum itself, was short on time, but there are plenty of exhibits to see outside which you don't have to pay to see. Also some big statues at the base and a tank painted in the Ukrainian national colours.
One of the best park I have ever seen! Such a beautiful, clean, ordered park!! The grass was perfect, there weren't any rubbish on the streets. I was amused! Anyway, that's not the best thing yet! The statue is GORGEOUS! It is so beautiful that it seems unrealistic!! You can go up too, and there is a museum at its feet. Really, I suggest to go there and visit this amazing place.
Definitely recommend the climb to the top but bear in mind you might need to book as it gets busy - They only have two slots per hour. It's a shame you can only see out behind the shield and not towards the river but still amazing value. Special thanks to Vlad for being an excellent guide.
Amazing place. Must see when you visit kyiv. Impressive place and atmosphere. Was not very crowded also. The Museum is also interesting.
Great historical place where you can learn a lot about ancient, medieval and modern history of Ukraine. Also great landscape views for pictures
