This is a must on any Kiev itinerary. Setting aside the political significance of this place, it's just a beautiful area to hang out. The arch itself is an amazing structure. Was very surprised to learn it dates back to 1982 because it seems so modern. I hope a way is found to preserve this space even if it involves a major reinterpretation of the art.

Overwhelming statue and beautiful view. I highly recommend taking some time to walk through the park. It's close to the Independence square,you can grab a coffe or snack and enjoy a stroll next to a stunning view.

One of the many great sights in Kiev. Very easy to get to and with the arch you also get the glass bridge right next to it with great views and a really nice park on the other side. This area is great to take some nice photos and take in the views.

Very nice place morning or evening in any time, the view is very beautiful lovely. You can see almost the city from two side, also there is two bridges near it for walking and biking, also the view of river is very nice and beautiful wonderful l, amazing, it is near the city center and walking to it that give you very good feeling, healthy and you spend your time with amazing feeling, there is also many restaurant and coffee shops near the place so you can enjoying and spend the time all happy and good moods.

Great park, great view of the river. The bridge has large plexiglass windows to walk on to increase your sense of vertigo. An important landmark from a more hopeful time in Ukraine. Climb to the top of the hill adjacent to the monument for a great view of the Stalinesque thoroughfare in the upper city.
