Shopping 💸

Shopping in Paris is expensive, but with so many French designers it’s hard not to see the appeal. If you’re on a big spending budget, you should head towards Avenue Montaigne or Faubourg St-Honoré. Here you will find boutiques for the main luxury brands. Basic places for going shopping are:

Image - Travelade Image
Valeria:The main shopping street in Paris. A huge variety of shops but sometimes very crowded.
Image - Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Valeria:St-Germain des Près is an area that might have some more expensive options but it has budget options too (though not as many, it may seem).
Image - Opéra
Valeria:The department stores around the Opèra (tip: avoid Galeries LaFayette and go next door to Printemps, you will leave behind the crowds and find almost all the same brands).
Image - Travelade Image
Rue de Rivoli
Valeria:Rue Rivoli spreads from Concorde up until Le Marais, there you will find similar shops to those in Champs but with less crowds.
Image - Hôtel de Ville
Hôtel de Ville
Valeria:If you want a mix of thrift shopping and luxury, just go to Le Marais. There you will find everything in the range of prices. The BHV is next to the Hôtel de Ville and it’s the department store in the area.

Restaurants & Bars + some Cheap Eats 🍗

After all the sightseeing and shopping, it is now time for some French food.

Image - Chez André
Chez André
Valeria:Chez Andre for that onion soup. Skip the line at Le Relais de l’Entrecôte and cross into Chez André you will not regret it. Le Relais is a bit expensive for my taste but it has that line for a reason, it’s good and the Steak Frites are a classic.
Valeria:Cafe St. Regis is good, they have food all day long so you don’t have to worry about the time.
Image - L'As du Fallafel
L'As du Fallafel
Valeria:If you’re craving a falafel, go to l’As du Falafel in Le Marais. You will not regret it.
Image - Au Clairon Des Chasseurs
Au Clairon Des Chasseurs
Valeria:Clairon des Chasseurs in Montmartre for a good Croque Monsieur in a pretty square to eat at.
Image - Matignon
Valeria:Matignon has good food and it turns into a club at night. This is where the boujee side of Paris and rich tourists go.
Image - L'Avenue
Valeria:L’Avenue- full of influencers and maybe someone famous whenever Fashion week is around. Expensive.
Image - Big Fernand
Big Fernand
Valeria:Big Fernard has amazing hamburgers, because we all get cravings for a good one every once in a while.
Image - Eataly Paris Marais
Eataly Paris Marais
Valeria:Italian is what you crave? Eataly, the food market + restaurant will have you covered for whatever you might want if you’re in Le Marais. Also worth going to are any of the Big Mamma restaurants as they are spread out across the city (you might have to wait but the food is really good). Presto! Fresco is another option.
Image - Restaurant Ensemble
Restaurant Ensemble
Valeria:Ensemble is a tapas restaurant in the 16th that's really good.
Image - Galeries Lafayette Paris
Galeries Lafayette Paris
Valeria:Also the food court in the Galeries Lafayette is good too! Be sure to go to the one that is on the Opera & the Home Section! It's directly in front of UNIQLO.
Image - Printemps Haussmann
Printemps Haussmann
Valeria:If you want to eat or drink something when shopping, go to the Printemps store, and to their food section. You will be able to see almost all of Paris while eating.
Image - Holybelly 5
Holybelly 5
Valeria:For Breakfast: Holybelly 5 (be prepared to wait but it's worth the wait), same goes for Hardware Societé in Montmartre (great bonus that Sacré Coeur will literally be outside). Wild & the Moon is great for a healthy option plus they have take away. Café Oberkampf & Mericourt are good too, even if a bit far from the city center (they're close to where the Atelier des Lumieres is).
