Day Trip #1 - Laugarvatn and Vicinity

Laugarvatn is a lake in the Southern Region of Iceland. It's just under a one and a half hour's drive from the capital. Here are a few nice things to do and see near Laugarvatn:

Nína:Snorralaug is a geothermal pool in Reykholt. It used to belong to Snorri Sturluson, one of Iceland's most prominent writers and politicians during the Age of the Sturlungs. Unfortunately, it's prohibited to take a dip.
