I have read Buddha’s life story multiple times and I finally got the chance to visit Big Buddha. It’s a fantastic place with a beautiful view. The best part is that it’s so serene and peaceful. I really liked the calmness and quietness. There are a lot of statues of Buddha. If you take a tour of the place you’ll find a lot many other statues. When I walked along the temple I also saw a lot of monks chanting. The vibration and the energy of the entire temple is humongous and very powerful and positive. I highly recommend you to visit Buddha temple if you’re gonna be in Phuket. And if you’re gonna come to Buddha temple, come with at least a couple of hours and try their coconut ice cream. It’s really delicious. All in all, it’s a must go place and you should add it to your itinerary.

Seriously one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. We rented a motorbike to drive up to this place and that was the best decision. Everything was so green and lively it was amazing. Big Buddha it’s self is absolutely stunning. It was free when we went and I’m not sure why because normally it costs a small fee. The statue was under construction while we were there but the workers were respectful and still allowed people to go everywhere and see everything. They don’t allow shorts above the knee or your shoulders to be seen but they provide free skirts and scarfs if what you’re wearing doesn’t fit their dress code. They also sell these little golden hearts that you can write on and hang them from the trees around the statue and in the garden by it which is a fun thing to do. I would highly recommend visiting Big Buddha you will not be disappointed.

I think this sculpture is the zest of Phuket, like an Eiffel tower in Paris. Very remarkable and very inspiring to understanding Buddhism more and more. Still under construction, but it's not a problem. Hint! If you walk around around 800 meters down the road, you can find a trail down the hill, so you can have a nice hike in the jungle! Just be attentive and look at the left - there is the rock and a sign on it.

The views from below were amazing. Watch out for the monkeys though as they will quickly grab things out of your hands before you know it. But they are super cute. The Buddha itself though is truly amazing and something everyone should see!

Very beautiful place to visit. The Buddha statue is very good and the location is awesome. Beautiful view of the city is seen from the top and if the weather is good, we get nice photos of the city. Buddha statue is charming and there is a meditation camp going on inside. There is another golden Buddha statue on other side which is very nice as well. Do visit this place if visiting phuket.
