Summer in Palma de Mallorca

Mihaela:Very cozy and friendly staff. National food from fish to meatballs. It is reminiscent of a small canteen, so it is a very special and interesting place. After a tour of the city it is nice to go sit on sangria and grilled sardines, patatas bravas, or just nibble on prosciutto-wrapped dates and cheese stuffed peppers in oil. I recommend octopus sallad (my favorite), grilled fish and patatas bravas (the sauce that came with the potatoes was a bit piquante but very very good). Ps. Every day they offer a meal off the menu. I call it a "meal of the day". That day they had paella but I was late because by 1PM it was sold out. So is that telling you enough of the food goodness ;).

Mihaela:When I think of this city, I also remember the "Cuba" (restaurant and bar). In the center of the old town, at the center of all the events and major streets, parks, sights and also it was near the hostel I stayed at. It was halfway to downtown from my place. At this place you get a lot more wonderful food than you pay for, and the prices are affordable. Patatas bravas made in an interesting way and sour sauce (ajoli). Made perfectly. Who would say that potatoes can be so interesting when you add the sauce to them and sprinkle them with fried onions. After eating something fine and waiting for midnight, the restroom turns into a night bar. Offer of wine and cocktails are great and whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. With the staff being wonderful and friendly, place is air-conditioned. With all escape from the heat, cool down and eat.

Mihaela:Wondering around the city I saw this place by accident. There are a lot of bakeries where I come from. Even more cafes, but influenced by different cultures, there are so many bakeries. In our country this would be called a pastry shop. In fact, it could be called dough perfection shop, but that is just my opinion. I prefer more salty foods than sweet ones, and believe me I greased my mustache (that is how we say in Croatia) and ate a cuttlefish ensaimada. Also, Mallorcan national specialty. You must try! You will not be wrong.
