Joanne:Less than five minutes from Stainsborough Hall - hire a cycle at Middleton Top and you are straight onto the High Peak Trail.

Joanne:If you want to try the Tissington Trail - you can hire a bike at its base in Ashbourne. It's a steady incline going out of Ashbourne, but great for coming back at the end.

Joanne:Messing about on the river can't be beaten. One of the more sedate ways to get out onto the river at Matlock Bath.

Joanne:This is our closest pub and an easy walk over the fields. They don't operate a booking system at the moment and they do accept dogs! Now under new management, all the reports I'm hearing are good.
