Meet up with a professional hiking instructor at your hotel in Mijas, Malaga, or other towns along the Costa del Sol, hop in a comfortable car, and head towards the Antequera region to learn about the area’s landscape and history!
Discover the fascinating geologic history of El Torcal Nature Reserve on a guided, half-day hike. After pickup from your hotel in Marbella, Malaga or other Costa del Sol towns, learn about the unique landscape on the drive to the park. Enjoy several hours hiking among the dramatic karst limestone formations, considered among the most impressive in all of Europe. Your private guide can customize the pace and itinerary of the hike to suit the group’s abilities.
Our hiking instructor will pick you up at the set time and place in Marbella, Mijas Costa or in Malaga.
You will then head towards Antequera. During the journey, the hiking instructor will inform you about the program of the day and will comment upon the landscapes, our history and the towns you will see on the way.
Start hiking by the restaurant located at the entrance of “El Torcal”. The hiking instructor will explain to you interesting things about this area: vegetation, animals, the reasons for the formation of that landscape and its history throughout the years.
Later find out the most relevant karst shapes: the dragon, the little bird, the watcher, the camel, etc.
At the end of this hiking trail, you will be transferred back to your hotel in the Costa del Sol.
