Plaça de la Ciutat de Bruges, s/n, 46001 València, Valencia, Spain
Well what can say about something as beautiful as this. The colours of fruit, vegetables, fish and meat attract photographers from all over, trying to capture the beauty. Let's not forget the food and wine. You can sample the best of Valencia's cuisines. If you leave here without something in your basket it would be unbelievable. The market is located in a beautiful building surrounded by a plethora of architectural delights.
Great but quite expensive market in the heart of Valencia! If you are looking for quick bite or doing last-minute turron shopping (and yeah, we did that in the summer) all can be found here. Despite huge crowds of tourists sellers are always very polite and welcomes everyone. Loved the fresh fruits selection and meats are great too! I probably was unlucky, but I could not find seafood selection here (except one small shop with some), so my impression was that this is not your primary place if you’re looking for some.
Amazing market with plenty of fresh produce and local bites. Try going here early in the morning as from about midday it gets fairly busy with tourists from all the cruise ships. The central bar is a great spot to sit and have a coffee with locals as well as some tapas. Good place for breakfast, lunch or just to wonder around and take in the vibe!
Great place to buy whatever there is to discover in terms of Spanish cuisine. Wine, ham, cheese, vegetables and so much more. The place is vibrant and you can feel the rhythm of Valencia in this very building. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the city - you won't be disappointed!
Mercado Central. I think I could stop by here every day for a quick tasty and affordable bite. Unlike other large markets in Spain here is way less crowded and you can enjoy your every minute. I was joking saying I could buy here a different kind of food every day for at least one year without repeating it. Amazing place also for tourists!
